One person died and three others suffered injuries on June 29 in a two-vehicle collision in Ontario. The accident occurred around 3 a.m. in Kitchener. Police determined that alcohol and speed were contributing factors in the fatal accident and took one of the drivers involved into custody.
An SUV was travelling south on Manitou Drive near Bleams Road when the vehicle crossed the centre line into oncoming traffic. The SUV collided head-on with a taxicab travelling in the northbound lane. A 31-year-old Stoney Creek man who was riding in the backseat of the SUV suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene of the accident.… Continue Reading

Authorities in Ontario have charged a 26-year-old man with impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death in connection to a fatal accident on June 21. The man is also facing charges of driving over the legal limit and impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Norfolk County Highway 19 near Tillsonburg.
Sources say that the deceased victim is a 54-year-old Bayham woman, and an 18-year-old female passenger of her vehicle was also injured in the crash, although her condition is not thought to be life threatening.… Continue Reading

A 22-year-old man who was involved in a car accident that occurred in Ontario was faced with additional charges while in court on June 10. According to the report, the accident took place on Lauzon Road just south of Tranby Avenue at approximately 2:50 a.m. on April 4.
The man was reportedly driving a Chevrolet Blazer in the northbound lanes when the vehicle was struck by a Chevrolet Impala and flipped over several times. One of the two vehicles struck a traffic pole, causing serious damage.… Continue Reading

An Ontario Provincial Police officer died when the vehicle that he was driving was hit by a semi-truck. Now, the truck driver is facing criminal charges due to the fatal accident. His court date is scheduled for July 3.
The collision occurred on Feb. 13 on Highway 17 near Blind River. Allegedly, the accident occurred when the 36-year-old constable’s SUV was hit by the semi-truck. The constable had worked with the OPP detachment unit approximately 12 years at the time of his death.… Continue Reading
Serious 3-vehicle accident in Ontario takes the life of woman

York Regional Police say that three vehicles were involved in an accident on 14th Avenue, resulting in the death of a 61-year-old woman. The fatal accident occurred just west of Ninth Line after 11 a.m. on March 12, resulting in the road and surrounding streets being closed for several hours while authorities investigated the scene.
According to a preliminary investigation, one vehicle spun out of control due to poor road conditions, causing it to strike another. Police say that three vehicles were involved in the car accident, and the snow-covered road was a factor in the collision.… Continue Reading
