Ontario man charged after fatal accident

Ontario Provincial Police laid charges against a 23-year-old man who was allegedly responsible for a July 12 accident that resulted in the death of one person and the hospitalization of two others. Investigators believe that alcohol was a contributing factor in the accidental death of one of the passengers in the vehicle.
The accident occurred on Concession Road 9 in Nation Township around 3 a.m. Police believe that the 23-year-old Alexandria man who was driving the car, which was reported stolen, was impaired at the time of the crash.… Continue Reading
Ontario car accident kills 1, injures 3

One person died and three others suffered injuries on June 29 in a two-vehicle collision in Ontario. The accident occurred around 3 a.m. in Kitchener. Police determined that alcohol and speed were contributing factors in the fatal accident and took one of the drivers involved into custody.
An SUV was travelling south on Manitou Drive near Bleams Road when the vehicle crossed the centre line into oncoming traffic. The SUV collided head-on with a taxicab travelling in the northbound lane. A 31-year-old Stoney Creek man who was riding in the backseat of the SUV suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene of the accident.… Continue Reading
Driver faces charges after deadly crash

Authorities in Ontario have charged a 26-year-old man with impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death in connection to a fatal accident on June 21. The man is also facing charges of driving over the legal limit and impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Norfolk County Highway 19 near Tillsonburg.
Sources say that the deceased victim is a 54-year-old Bayham woman, and an 18-year-old female passenger of her vehicle was also injured in the crash, although her condition is not thought to be life threatening.… Continue Reading
